Purple Cow

I've never seen a purple cow,

I never hope to see one.

But I can tell you anyhow,

I'd rather see than be one.

I had this little poem in a book when I was about 4 years old. I read that book at least 2,000 times, and this was always one of the most memorable. Loads of dada merit, even as a four year old I knew it.

So, here's a purple cow. Too many, and you might even see one.

• 2 oz Empress Gin (much preferably Empress, but others will do)

• .5 oz Chambord

• .5 oz Creme Yvette

• .25 oz Creme De Violett

• .5 oz Simple Syrup

• 2 oz Half n Half (creamy coconut milk is a great substitute, might even prefer it that way)

Shaken. Served up.
