For a few hours
These myriad bottles on shelves
I can call my own
I wrote this haiku before I started making cocktails, while sitting at the Dragon Upstairs in Chinatown, Honolulu, my Friday night haunt for several years.
This might be my flagship cocktail, as I am a profound lover of Haiku, and this is a really damn good cocktail.
2 oz Suntory Roku Japanese Gin
.5 oz Suntory Toki Japanese Whisky
.5 oz Cherry Heering
.5 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Lime Juice
.25 oz Tonic Syrup
6-8 dashes Fee Foam
Shaken. Serve in a coupe, or over large ice in a rocks tumbler.
Cucumber bitters on the foam.
Add a cherry.
